The power awnings were designed to be retracted in wind and heavy rain .

If it's flapping that much from the wind time to bring in the awning.

Wind Deflappers with this type of awning arms

Marjoa,
I just did this myself since I have the same awning arms. I bought two Camco de-flappers from Walmart and attached a small bungee cord to the Velcro straps on each to make them long enough to be placed at the middle point of where my awning comes down. This works perfectly and stands up very well in the wind.

There you go. Thank you for answering the question that was asked. I was thinking of something similar to what you did, but I'm going to try your idea first.

thx
