What "tools" (brush, mop, etc) do you use to clean the exterior?

And cleaner for the inside?

For a DP.

Doesn't matter if it's a DP or not, use the same items! What does matter is full body paint or not.

I use an extendable handle mop head "brush", no bristles as they can scratch the clear coat. Use a mild soap, on a Newmar they now say baby shampoo. They used to say Murphy's oil soap when we first got ours.

Everything else is the same as I use in/on the stick house.

I use "Invisible Glass" spray on glass cleaner, a cloth and then a microfiber towel to finish.
On the outside I use Dry Wash N Guard spray on cleaner and protector even on the glass. Easy to apply and can be done even in full sun.

When at home and I'm washing the coach, I use the same soft brush and car wash soap to do the windshield. It comes clean when you can use a lot of water and brush.

When I'm on the road, I use a nylon pad that kinda looks like steel wool to scrub the windshield. I spray with Invisble Glass and scrub with the nylon pad. Once all of the bugs are broken loose, I spray again with Invisible Glass and wipe clean with a towel. The little nylon pad works great for getting the windshield clean.

Based on recommendations from pros on a TV show years ago, I started cleaning house glass with a light soap solution applied with a T-shaped fleece washer on a short pole. The mixture is simply squeegee'd off.

Here's the cool part: it also works on the painted surface! Use care with the squeegee's metal parts, however.

Outside.. I have a long "Extension" type windshild washing thingy.. You can find 'em a truck stops (Fixed length) or at some auto parts stores, They sell 'em for vans.

Inside, i use a modified "Swifter" mop... Basically I took one section out of the handle and use a Windex wipe or a Microfiber cloth for cleaning, Adding a bit of padding (Folded wash cloth) under the pad may help.. NOTE that the "mod" is reversable (just unscrew the handle and screw the missing seciton back in) This is the basic Swifter, not the "Wet Mop" type.

Chemical for cleaning,, Windex or Stoner's Invisible Glass (The latter is really good)

Water in a spray bottle. Micro fiber cloth to wipe and polish.

Occasionally some Invisible glass cleaner or similar on the inside.

I use Aquapel by PPG, lasts longer and has better benefits than the old rain-x type of products. Developed for airplane windshields. Now I have very little cleaning to do, even the bugs wash off with little scrubing. Inside, use Sprayway for minor cleaning. Dawn, vinegar, and distilled water for heavier cleaning. This also works well on outside surfaces to remove water spots.

I use Invisible Glass for both the inside and outside. After washing the coach I'll get the ladder out and finish the outside windshield with the Invisible Glass and micro fibre cloth. When on the road I just use the extended handle squeegie supplied at most Flying J's. If there is not one there I get the one out from our storage bay.

Clean the glass to remove all the residue and wipe dry. Get a good step ladder and some 0000 steel wool. Start at the top and work down in a small circular pattern. The more you rub, the better the polishing will be. Take your time and do a good job.

Wipe off the steel wool particles and then apply a liberal coating of RainX by using an old sock. Note i said LIBERAL coating. Let dry to a haze (15 minutes) and buff with a microfiber towel. Repeat the process again and let dry. Buff again.

While you have the damp sock, wipe the bottom of the wipers to remove the road grime and coat the blades with rainX.

repeat this about every six months and most of the time you will not need the wipers.
