Windshield gap / possibly loosening

folks,

our ‘95 monaco dynasty (new to us a year ago yesterday) windshield appears to have come out of the (hardened) weather stripping.

while i locate a service to replace the stripping, i’m wondering if i might just slip it back inside the rubber track and put some type of sealant in to hold it in place and minimize losing the (right half) of the windshield.

i’m thinking it’s a short term patch and my take is if i do this i shouldn’t use silicone ... please advise on what i should use.

thx in advance for any / all feedback.

Gorilla Tape, the thick, clear stuff, works well.

X 2 on the Gorilla tape. I had my pass front windshield pop out after I had to turn around on some very uneven ground. I drove about a 100 miles before I could get it fixed properly.

thx(!), what kind of place am i looking for to do this? it looks to me as though the rubber gasket has aged out and it may be only a matter of time before it gets replaced ... so i might as well consider that now.

and ... what / how did they fix it when they did yours?

thx again, folks.

I took mine to a place that do big trucks where I had the drivers side replaced previously. They took out the pass side resealed everything and put it back in. I think in your case they will put in a new gasket but in mine it was in good shape since they did it when the did the drivers side.
Mine was much worse then yours and they had no problem fixing it and it's been a year since it was done.
