Did you ever find out if you have glass coverage?

I have Blue Sky which doesn't offer glass coverage in our state. My comprehensive which would cover any glass damage had a $500 deductible attached to it. Because of the potential for glass damage and other potential comprehensive issues I purchased a $100 deductible for $99/year. In this case lesson learned the easy way. . . it is wise to ask what increased coverage cost; I also increased my liability to $300K for pennies comparetively; total for policy $900/yr on my 2005 Fleetwood; insurance companies package policy coverage to their advantage not yours but that is how those skyscrapers with their names on them get built. . .right!

GMAC through Good Sam doesn't offer glass coverage in South Dakota. I will be looking for a new carrier when this policy expires

Just signed with Geico. They have full glass coverage with a $50 deductible. My neighbor who is an insurance broker, looked at 6 RV insurance companies I had received quotes from, and he said of the six, Geico was the best coverage/$. Every policy had something good, but overall, it was Geico. He told me one of the newest "fads" is the diminishing deductible. You pay a hidden premium for the diminishing deductible. When I looked at the ones that offered it, sure enough, they were higher. I was interested in the diminishing deductible since (knock on wood) I have had 1 insurance claim in 37 years when a deer wanted to meet his maker.
In the end, I chose to self insure against my mistakes with a high deductible, insure against others mistakes with a low deductible, and insure the glass for a $50 deductible.
