My bank has credited my account for the disputed "unauthorized" charge. Vendor is now jumping through hoops to correct their bad installation. When job is completed to my satisfaction, I will remit payment to the vendor and then submit paid bill to my insurance carrier for reimbursement. Thanks for all the advice.

Awesome! Now you just have to deal with the shop that screwed it up in the first place and hope that they can make it right. Hopefully they are a chain and you can find a sister shop that is competent.

Update on National RV Glass aka Avid Auto Glass of Denver, CO, all I can say is "buyer beware".

They took my 50% deposit on Oct 30 for new windshield and gasket, promised installation in a week. Nearly Four weeks later, window falls out 12 hours after finally getting it installed. Nothing but finger pointing and lip service from their office, their sub-contracted installer, etc. On November 26, they wanted their remaining payment and I refused until there work was corrected. Weeks went by, no action by them. Nothing, Not even the courtesy of returning phone calls or emails. No contact until February 14 when they charged my credit card without my permission. I immediately alerted their office (and my bank) that the service was horrible and the charge fraudulent since I didtnt approve it. I alerted my bank and the last charge was reversed. A different manager contacted me, apologized up and down, promised to make everything right and I thought they were going to make good on the terrible installation. Today they informed me that since I refuse to pay their remaining balance, they refuse to warranty or repair the installation. Just passing my experience along and hoping others don't get taken.
