The NADA Guide lists a model 37G for 2001 & 2002 but no 38G in those years. A 38G appears in 2003, just as you said.

Winnebago web site shows 37G from 1999 to 2002 and 38G from 2003 to 2005.

I have owned a 37G and I currently own a 38G. The major differences in between both models is mostly in the bedroom with the additional slideout on the 38G.

In 2003 the 38G came out with 22.5" tires on the Workhorse.
