winnebago engine hood adjustment

how do you adjust this to fit flush it has a 1 in opening in the front top

There are 4 fasteners that hold the hood in place if you have a hood that unlatches and opens down. The first thing is to scribe a line using a black magic marker on the hinges so you know where it is that you started. Slowly loosen the nuts that hold the hood you can spin the top of the hood back in toward the the engine and then tighten the nuts. Slowly close the hood to see if the position has improved. Check the scribe line to check if the hood has moved back at all. The trick here is to pivot the position of the hood hinge in at the top and not so much at the bottom.
