I have a 2004 Winnebago Ultimate 40K, purchased in August 2010 I notice that only the furnace on the right (passenger) side will cycle on while stored inside. I do not know if the one on the left comes on while outside in cold temps. Does the left side furnace only come on when temp drops low? Also notice the two front floor ducts are not putting out heat with the right side furnace running.

I don't have a Winnie so I'm not an authority on them. My Fleetwood has two furnaces each of which has its own thermostat setting, heat sensor in either the front or rear of the coach, and heats its own zone (area of the coach). If the temperature setting on the thermostat for one zone is more than ten degrees different than the other one then one of the furnaces won't work. There is always the possibility that the one furnace that isn't working may not be getting power or propane.

The furnace(s) should come on whenever the thermostat temperature that YOU set calls for heating. I'm guessing that an Ultimate has two furnaces and at least two heating and cooling zones, with a separate thermostat setting for each.

Another Winnie Ultimate owner could probably give more specific details.

See the sig. below......our coach may be similar. The front (right side) furnace uses the same t-stat as the A/C.......just move the selector switch to the far right (gas heat).
The rear furnace is controlled by a small t=stat on the wall in the bedroom. There is an ON-OFF that is a part of the t-stat but on the bottom side of it.

We have a 2000 Ultimate Advantage; It has Two Furnaces ;; One of our members Has A 2004 Freedom. They have an oil fired heating system in there coach... That system is vary complex and not made for the novist to be trying to repair it;; Take it to your Winnebago dealer Have them repair it;; Or you will not be satisfied, and it will be a constant problem. And if they tell you it needs to be pluged into power That's what you need to do;; As that is a vary high quality system..
