Winnebago Vista 29VE

My wife and I discovered the Winnebago Vista 29 VE this past weekend, and we really like the floor plan. This is our first RV, and we are trying to make a wise decision, is there a similar RV that we should use to compare with the Vista? Is there another manufacturer that offers better features in this size and price point of Class A RV?

Thanks for your advice,

We have had our 29VE for the second season now, and love it! Its small enough to turn around in a city street, but plenty big for 2 people, with occassional guests. Plenty of storage, drive train has plenty of power. 30Amp service is good for smaller campgrounds/sites. There are a few things I have modified, and a few things that I wish were different, but everything is a trade off, so overall it exceeds our needs. If you have an questions about it, feel free to ask..

Lazydays in Tampa ir LaMesaRV in Port St.Lucie

Does anyone have experience with Lazy days in Tampa or La Mesa RV in Port St. Lucie? I believe I can get the Winnebago 29VE at either location. Is one dealership better then the other one?

When I was shopping for my Vista 27N, Lazy Days seemed to have a higher MSRP sticker price vs. other dealers for identical equpped Winnebago Vistas. Quite a bit higher, like 10 grand higher. I dropped them from my short list of Winnebago dealers because just that alone caused a lack of trust in their business practices.

I suggest you look on RV Trader for 29VEs on dealer lots for sale and get a base line of what discounts are being offered by various dealers.

For a first RV I suggest you consider looking for a lightly used 29VE vs. a new one. You may be turned off by the multiple issues you will have with a new one that will require multiple trips back to your dealer to resolve under warranty. Most if not all of those issues will already be resolved if you buy used.

We have a 2017 Vista 29VE and just love it. The simple open floor plan with the one slide on the driver side and the outdoor kitchen sold us on the unit. I don’t like having a slide (or two) opening up on the patio side. There were just a few minor problems that I fixed myself and a few modifications I have made that make it just right for us.

Enjoy,

Patrick
