I'm new to the community so forgive me if I'm not following the directions about posting questions.

I purchased a 2006 33' winnebago voyage 4 weeks ago and we are experiencing odor from the dark water tank ( i believe) - I have dumped the tanke and put chemicals in is several times and I've checked the roof vent for obstructions (mud dobbers etc..) I do not smell any odor from the vent so I'm wondering if I have a seal or ? under the unit out of wack. Any suggestions?

Possibly because you just purchased the coach the previous owner could have left some "crud" in the tank my suggestion would be to pour a bag of ice cubes in the tank thru the toilet make sure you have 1-2 gallons of water in the tank then take it for a drive for 1 hour then dump your tank and then flush it out (thru the sani-flush connection) also check your gray water tank and put some chemical in the traps and fill that tank to 1/2 before your little road trip. On my previous coach an Adventurer I installed one of those cyclone vent caps and it worked well.

Are you absolutely certain that the problem is from the black tanks? It is far more common to get sewer gas into an RV from the gray water system, due to the use of plumbing vents in the sink drains. It has been my experience that this is much more common than black tank odor problems are.

If you check out the plumbing vent that is under the bathroom sink as it is very easy to replace and a new one can be purchased at any Lowe's or Home Depot. I strongly suggest that you read about and how to correct the problem here.

I hace the cyclone also ,all my troubles went away...
