Winnie 26P Battery Charging

Hi All
Can any one help
i have recently bought a winnie 26P and im trying to find out if the charger charges the chassis battery.
the shore power is connected and the leisure batteries stay charged, but the engine battery drops off after a week.
Is it only charged by the alternator when the engine is running.
Thanks for the help
Martyn

Your engine battery is only charged by the alternator. Make sure you don't have anything drawing power off of the engine battery.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I suspect the below is true. Somewhere around 2005 Winnie began installing Trick L Chargers to charge chassis batteries while on shore power, but I believe that was only in their DPs.

Not sure about other models but my 2013 Adventurer (gas) has this device to charge the chassis battery when hooked to shore power.

You should go to Owners Forums and call up Winnebago Industries. Someone with your model of Winnebago will give you any information on your model that you need as you come up with new questions.
