Winterize ice maker

I have a Fleetwood Pace Arrow 38N LXE and it has a whirlpool residential refrigerator in it. I am in the process of winterizing the ice maker. I have the non-toxic antifreeze in the fresh water tank and the water pump on. As you know, it takes hours to make ice. Can I leave the water pump on overnight continuously (12 hours)? The water pump seems to be going contantly while I am trying to make the "pink ice". I have been doing this since 3 PM and I only have a couple of ice cubes in the tray.

If your ice machine has a shut off, just turn it off for a few hours, then turn back on, turn pump on and presto, ice machine will dump a load then go into fill mode. If cubes aren't pink, repeat

I just winterized my motorhome this week and it has the WP residential fridge. I used air to blow everything out, including the fridge, then used a short hose to a five gallon bucket of AF. Once all the faucets and toilets are running pink, I go to the fridge and run the water dispenser until it's pink also. I leave it that way overnight and by morning I'll have pink ice cubes trying to form and that tells me I'm good to go. I also followed the instructions on the washer dryer combo and winterized it. Your pump should cut off when everything pressures up, then when the ice maker calls for water it should come on.

I personally only use air except for the drains and the toilet vac system. Even with the washer i start a warm water wash. When it calls for water you can hear the water come in then just air. My water lines don't taste like crap in the spring. Don't forget to put some anti freeze in the tub of the washer to protect the pump.
