We have an issue on our Challenger with the wiper arm on the driver side. There is one motor with attachments that go to both wiper arm assemblies. The assembly on the passenger side is tight and working fine, however the driver side arm when in operation goes all the way to the left and is hitting the molding around the bottom of the windshield. The wiper assembly itself is quite loose. I've tried tightening it up, but that's not the problem. I've been to CarQuest, Napa and a couple of dealers without much help. Any of you have a solution or suggestion?

I am not sure what exactly is wrong, But, Denso made a lot of wiper arms and mechanisms. I found one for my National in their on-line catalog, then found one of their local supply houses who had one.

if you remove the loose arm from the drive post you may find a cone shaped metal toothed gear. it is possible it has cracked due to overtightening. you may have to get a repair kit from the mfg or it's suppliers. for lots of wiper systems you can get really good service from Rome Truck parts in Georgia. google will find them.
