You can also use what the kids call a "noodle" which they use as a float in the swimming pool. They come in bright colors and are available at WalMart. Just gig to split them with a razor blade

That's even better yet "High-Vis UV Wiper Blade Protectors". Should market those.
I actually use those pool noodles on the cables of my car trailer rear ramp door.

If you can find a NAPA auto parts store, they usually have just about any size for trucks, RV's, etc.

Add a couple of tennis balls SMRDNR and you have a winning combination. deSanford PS I forgot to remove my pipe cover and it RAINED of course.

I was unable to find 32" in my city and waited till I found them in our travels. In hind sight 28" would have been long enough (not sticking out off the edge of the windshield) and being shorter would not catch as much wind from passing trucks.
I take the blades off when not travelling and store them out of the sun. Cut some slits "T" shaped in tennis balls and stick end of arm into the ball. DO NOT let the arm slap back against the windshield, I have seen people destroy their car and truck windshields that way.

I just remove mine during Summer Months and put on when Rain is forecast. I used RainX and with it unless your in a deluge you almost don't wipers at freeway speeds . The spilt foam sounds ok too but mine remove really easily.

Do the swim noodles not work as well? I had them on the wipers and they still split. The wipers had about 2 " on each end exposed as the noodles weren't long enough. I guess that could be why they split. I will buy 2 noodles.this time.

I found the clip needed to hold the wiper blade in place! I really appreciate everyone's input.
