Cool Wipers for 34G Southwind (how hard can this be?)

I can't believe I'm having such a hard time finding replacement wipers.
My 34G 2009 Southwind has 32" wipers.
I read some guys went with 28" mostly due to the huge price difference...I would be OK with that too if I could find them.
I took the wiper arm off and went to Canadian Tire... it's a good thing I did.
The hook on the arm is wider than any wiper they had so No Luck.

I have been all over Google etc looking for these illusive wipers.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Dave

My friends pathfinder has 34 inch wipers. We looked everywhere on our trip to find him replacement blades. We ended up finding them at a Camping World in Pittsburg.

Thanks... the problem is not the length so much. It's the width of the J Hook that holds the blade on. The hooks on mine are wider than"normal".

Try Wal-Mart. Look for the Rain-X brand in 28" length. That's where I get the wipers for my Phaeton that has the large J-Hook.

I've read of others grinding down the J-hook just a bit (a little off each side) so that it was narrow enough to fit a standard wiper. If you were to do that I expect that you should also go to a shorter wiper to reduce the strain on the wiper (there's probably a reason it's that wide to begin with).

I started here: Windshield Wiper Blades | ANCO Wipers

If memory serves, I then bought them through Amazon. Seems like near $60 but were original replacements and heavy duty.

Be sure and read the fine print on the Anco page. They sometimes indicate you need to purchase attachment pieces separately. Mine were a perfect replacement.

Thanks...
The J Hook is 12mm wide. The smaller ones seem to be 9mm wide.
I was thinking about grinding down the J Hook.

You can buy up to 28" at Costco. They're Goodyear blades and come with multiple connections. They're usually about $8.00 each.

True... but they are 9mm wide not 12mm like I need.

You have basically two choices. Grind down the j- hooks to fit the narrower blade or buy the wipers that fit the wider j-hook you have.
I did the latter. Got mine on Amazon. Can't remember the price, but reasonable, maybe $40 or so for two. 32 inch, wide j-hook.

Forum sponsor, RVupgrades.com sells the Wiper Technologies brand and they have a model that will fit the larger J-hook.

You'll be buying from a reputable online vendor and an iRV2 sponsor. Fast shipping and satisfaction guaranteed, LOL.

Wiper Technologies WT8-32 J Hook Wiper Blade - 32"

...for $25.53 each

Use THIS LINK for the Wiper Technologies application guide for RV wipers and you can confirm the part number for you coach on page 13: Fleetwood Southwind, year 09-16 is part number WT8-32

to add: the fourth review down is from a guy with a 2014 Fleetwood Southwind and he said it was a "perfect fit."

I’ve ordered 12mm 32” wiper blades on 2 occasions from PPL Motorhomes in Houston. They are the Wt8-32’s mentioned above. Like you, I could not find a local source, even a truck repair facility. They had no clue.
