Wipers Not Horizontal

On my 2010 Winnebago Adventurer, I think the wipers should sit at the bottom of the windshield, horizontal to the glass -- at least that what the pictures in the brochure look like.

On mine, they sit about 4 inches from the bottom and are not horizontal. When they are turned on, they first go to the bottom of the glass and then make their arc up and to the side. When they are turned off, they return to about 4 inches form the bottom of the windshield.

Thoughts on this being normal or not, and if not, how do I change them?

Thanks!

If you just loosen and turn the arms down the extra space what happens when you turn them on and they go down first like you mentioned? Maybe someone will be on shortly that knows how to adjust the stop position.

X2 John. I had the same thought. Something does not sound right here. I have never seen wipers go 4" down before working

It would appear that the linkage that connects the two wipers are adjusted (installed) incorrectly. Once these are adjust then you may need to readjust the wiper arms as mentioned above.

That's my guess. If I just move the wipers, I would expect they would still try to drop 4 inches before moving to the top of the window. I'll need to investigate the linkage and see if it has adjustments.

Wipers Fixed

The linkage between the wipers needed to be loosened and adjusted so the wipers would go up when started instead of first going down. All better now.

Thank you for the update, updates in themselves are very important.
