Put a wire mesh screen on, it can't harm anything, it can-at the least, give you peace-of-mind. Our S.M.A.R.T. Caravan to Alaska in 2012 consisted of 12 rigs, 4 5ers, 1 truck camper, 1 travel trailer, and 6 Motorhomes. The only tire trouble was with trailer tires.
