Workhorse Fuel Pump

Hi there fellow RVers

I need a new fuel pump for my 2002 Damon Intruder with an 8.1 L Workhorse chassis. I need to use my coach this weekend. It's in the certified workhorse shop and they said the soonest they can get the replacement pump is 5 days. I know there are some equivalent GM parts for workhorse that can be found at auto parts stores.

I know it's a long shot but was wondering if any of you smart folks out there who are aware of an equivalent fuel pump so I can get on the road this weekend.

Thanks much!

This is from Oemy's site:

25028274 In Tank Fuel Pump AC Delco/GM
25178125 In Tank Fuel Pump AC Delco/GM
SP6100M In Tank Fuel Pump Spectra
P74758M In Tank Fuel Pump Carter
The above 3 numbers indicate this pump is for an 1998-1999 Chevrolet P30 Van or GMC P3500 Van

I don't know if they will work for you or not.

You can also get a generic pump from NAPA but it'll be an external pump so much, much, less expensive. Yes, most of the time, you CAN draw fuel through an in-the-tank pump that's gone bad.

On my diesel, I used a 8-12 GPM external. Been 11 years now.

Workhorse Fuel Pump

Thank you so much for the quick reply to my question. The people on this forum are awesome.

I did some more digging online and found a site that has the pump in stock and they are only 80 miles from my house! I want to give them a shout out as they responded to my email request after hours.
