Had a '04 W22 for several years sold it a few weeks ago with 69,000 miles. Yea the Bendix brake recall was a hassle, but other than that very pleased with it. Very reliable, and dependable. If you do your homework, you will find issues with plug wires and exhaust manifolds. Those issues are all heat problems. Some coach builders did not allow for enough air flow. Those that did never had any problems.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I have a lot of diesel truck and large 5 th wheel experience but very little knowledge on class A . It seems like the cost premium on a comparable diesel coach just isn't worth it. Do most of you agree with that.....the premium for a pusher varies but 10 K would be a good average. Most of the time we are flatlanders living now in SW Florida and traveling mostly East of New Mexico and South of the Mason Dixon Line, Thanks again but one more question I noticed the mention of W 20 w 22 and W 24 would that boil down to a W 20 is 20 k GVW OR 20 K GCVW same with the W 22 ..W 24

Not sure about the others, but iirc my W-24 is 24000 GVWR.

The workhorse chassis would not influence my purchase at all. But if it has autopark it would be a serious strike against it.

That is a personal choice, but if you're going to sit for winter in the south and summer in the north then it won't matter much. Going to mostly be on the move then a diesel MIGHT be a better choice.

No, just the opposite if one of the newer chassis (not P30/32). It's a plus.

Sorry George, but just to keep the record straight, the "Workhorse designed" wide track P32 chassis used the J71 AAPB system through the 2004 model year. Since thousands of them were built, I doubt "left over" parts were used. Then, for the 2005 model year the P32 AND the new W24 Workhorse designed chassis got an "improved" AAPB system dubbed the J72. In addition, the R26 "UFO" chassis that Workhorse designed and introduced in 2007 has a "HPB" AAPB system provided by Meritor-Wabco.

I two had a 07 gulfstream 38 footer on a workhorse chassis. I had severe swaying problems that I attribute to the coach was to big for the chassis. I put air bags in the rear suspension that did make a night and day difference.
