In Georgia taxes vary by county.

I pay a $30.00 tag fee and $1,000 in Ad Valorem tax on the MH. On top of that we pay 7% sales tax and 6.5% in state income tax!

Now add in the Federal Taxes along with state and federal motor fuel taxes plus excise taxes on utilities and I get less of my check that the government gets.

Now I'm depressed!! Going to take my med's!!!

Yep, Arizona is wonderful. $2100 for my Providence, $500 for Tahoe, $450 for PU. Sunshine is expensive.

They're going to get their money one way or another. It might be sales tax, property tax, income tax, etc. Each state differs on their cash cow, for example, here in AZ our property tax is less than 1/3 the tax we paid in WA. OR has no sales tax, but their income tax is more than double the AZ rate. WA has minimal costs to register a vehicle, but the property tax rates are high and so is the gasoline tax.

$450 in Michigan. I just buy two two month temporary permits for the four months I use it for $96 for each renewal. Michigan limits you to two two month temps per year. Any other travel out side of the four summer months is with the travel trailer.

My last AZ tag was 1380.00. My new California tag will be 670.00. I think Obama is looking in to this =)

Try $2400 in California. In our state a few work to support all the others. Is it any wonder retirees are looking to other states.

SD chipping in, $257 for an '05 MADP, no personal property tax, no income tax. 3% excise tax on purchase. No special license for air brakes or over 26000 lbs. No annual inspection.

Not too bad!

Just for comparison:

In Ontario we pay only $74/year for motorhome licensing.

However, I paid 31% income tax (federal and provincial, high income bracket, deductions), and 13% sales tax (federal and provincial) on the sale of the motorhome. AND there is no ongoing tax deductions for motorhomes.

So thank goodness the licensing is cheap!

Still and all, love living where we do...
