$50 for 2 years in LA (Louisiana). Took a big hit when I bought it with almost $5K in Taxes and Fees, but it is $50 every two years after that.

That's terrible!

We have friends that live in ATL, but their MH "lives" in TN... at least that what the license plate says.

I guess I can't complain that much of what I'm paying here in WA.

About the only good thing I can say for Oregon is it only cost me 91 dollars to register my 38 foot MH with a permanent tag. (disabled vet) It's the only reason I can see to maintain residence when I retire and go fulltime in a couple of years.

Yeah, but you will have to pay income tax... wouldn't it be cheaper to pay a higher license fee and only be subject to sales tax in your state of residency?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to retire and cant really find a really cheap way of doing it.

I grew up in Salem. Oregon so was thinking of Oregon for residence, but it sounds like the income tax would make it not such a good deal.

Washington would be $115 per year and no income tax.

I'm still struggling with that one. I really don't like giving Oregon anything more than I have too.

At least they haven't found a way to tax my disability from Uncle Sugar, Yet. I'll have to do some research to see at what level of income they will tax after retirement.

Try $1975.00 in Calif. Ask me if I feel mad for the rest of you.

I don't remember the exact cost for my motorhome but is was somewhere in the area of $600.00. I just paid for my 20 year old motorcycle yesterday and it was $81.00. All the taxes in Calif. are high and Governor Moonbeam wants to make them higher. I would move but can't sell my house and the grandkids are here.

Which county? I'm in Paulding and for a 2007 Kountry Star 40ft DP it was $1198 for one year.

Edit: looked at your avatar, Marietta, Georgia. That's Cobb county, I heard they were broke and looking for revenue everywhere but Darn that's double paulding's rate on an 04 versus an 07.
