Washington state charging 10% sales tax for RV's is beyond communism and dictatorship combined.

Americans should never be charged something like that, but there is no voice. There is not a people's voice in anything the government does. They can pave the same highway every year and charge the taxpayers millions, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. They can charge you 20% tax and there's nothing you can do about it. Thay can take away your home, and there's nothing you can do about it. Ever thought maybe we are living in a police state? Sorry.. This could go on and on. And if you think different, $14 trillion debt? What part of that did you get?

Exactly... people live out of their means...
I think it's because people stopped buying because they can't afford or just won't pay the taxes anymore.

How many think about the tax consequences when they are thinking of buying and then give up because they can't afford or won't pay the taxes?

I was looking at a new coach but in my state the sales taxes would be $35,000 and at least $8-9000/ year in personal property taxes. I could afford the coach but my consious just won't let me pay the taxes. So I figure Newmar's out a sale due to the taxes, not the price of the coach.

Governments are a life form of themselves that will never reduce, never will give-in, never will self sacrifice, and will keep taking and taking despite any consequences.

1996 30' class A in Arizona only $35. Don't know why the 2002 was so much higher? I think Arizona goes off a depreciated value of original sale price. Mine sold for $70K new in 96.
