Yicky shower

How can I get this shower really clean. I can't use bleach, makes me nauseous. I wan to get it back to like new, is there a secret for product and less scrubbing, hard water doesn't help either.

I use scrubbing bubbles in generous amounts. The fumes get strong, but with the ceiling vent open and fan running it's not too bad.

Mr scrubby costs about three dollars at Home Depot, it's a hard sponge like material that stays hard in cold water and softens in warm water. With a little soap it cuts right thru soap scum and hard water spots used it on shower doors wow.

If you can find it crazy cleaner dealerships use it comes in a spray can.

If you've got mildew/mold, the only things that'll kill that is bleach or hydrogen peroxide.

You'll probably need a lot of elbow grease but you can make it easier on your hands/arms if you use an old electric toothbrush for the small crevices & a battery operated Scumbuster (my best friend) for the large surfaces. They'll do all the scrubbing for you. Something as simple a Suave Daily Clarifying will cut through the scum. I use it all the time. If you need something with a bit more power, use BonAmi or Barkeeper's Friend. Both are mildly abrasive but won't scratch. Ceramic stove-top cleaner will do the same but is WAY more expensive than BA or BKF.

Once you get it all clean & dry, put a coat of wax on it (just not on the shower floor). Always wipe down with a towel after each use. Avoid bar soaps with lots of lanolin in them. If you have to use bar soap, Zest leaves the least film. Otherwise, use a cheap body wash (it has less moisturizers in it which cause film buildup) or, like we do, the daily clarifying shampoo does double duty as a decent body wash.

We use Formula 409 on ours, it stays nice and clean and we don't get that harsh chemical smell.

Soft Scrub works well. It has just enough abrasive, but not enough to damage the surface. Great for cleaning shower scum. Once you're done, wax it like the Corvette you never had. It will stay cleaner longer.

I used baking soda, a scrub brush and elbow grease. Takes some time to get rid of all the soap scum. After rinsing and drying, applied a coat of marine fiberglass wax. Our 14 year old shower looks brand new and the water runs right off.

Clean the shower with Barkeeper friend and a wet scrub brush or sponge with the white scrubbie on the other side.rinse well. Add any shampoo on a washcloth and wipe all shower walls rinse again.
may take alittle rubbing depending on soap scum.
i use the shampoo /washcloth about once every 3 weeks, while I'm in the shower and have not had to clean my shower with anything else.

Gel-Gloss, easy on easy off. Best way to prevent future build up and mold is wipe the shower dry after each use. We do and never have any build up or mold.

I am not sure how long it sat this way but my shower drain hasn't been hooked up to the sewer line I know for over 10 years at least. It looks brand new.
I finally found the parts to hook it back up. But the weather has turned cold.
So I will hook it up over the winter while RRing in AZ. I hope.
I use both Scrubbing Bubbles and soft scrub with lemon in the S&B

Tilex, a soft bristle brush and a sponge. A coat of wax, and Clean Shower after each use. Works fine, lasts a long time.
