Your MH is insured through???
we have progressive and they were good the first year. now at re-newal time there was an increase. from about $500 to over $700.
i called and well, they had reclassified our class c as an A. i said no,no, no... so, they got that right. then there were other small charges i had them remove and no more lein holder.
got my new bill, not at the $499 i was quoted but, at $594. the little things are still on the bill and so is the lein holder. the classification is correct and that's about it. but, the little stuff only amounts to about $30. so, they have increased my insurance about 20% in a year.
they claim wisconsin had an increase by the government and everyones bills went up...
this is now the second time on the phone for over 30 minutes and i am going no where fast. i am thinking progressive needs to grab a shopping cart and meet me in my aisle.
so, i will probably renew with them this time. but, i am looking for something else. who do you have insurance? and how happy are you?

The founder of Progressive Insurance is an extreme political activist who's views are about as far the opposite side of mine as you can get. That's all well and good, he has a right to his views, and to act on them as he sees fit.
I too have rights and I exersize those rights with my pocketbook. I use National Interstate, and I also use their emergency roadside service. I had the misfortune of having to use their roadside service last summer, and they are top notch. I could not have been treated better. They paid 100% of the tow, even though I am actually supposed to call them and have them arrange the tow I didn't know that and arranged the tow myself. No questions asked, they paid 100% of the tow the day they got my receipt. They were very friendly and even though when I actually went through the paperwork and saw that I did it wrong, there was nary a problem.
I just paid my renewal yesterday, $494 for a class A and that includes their roadside towing service. It did not go up a nickel, but maybe we didn't have that same increase they claim you had in Michigan since I live in VA.
If Progressive was the last insurance company on earth, I would not have insurance.

Osomanytoys, if you or any of your immediate family are Military you might try USAA. Tough to be beat for coverage and cost, even by Progressive or the Lizard.

With State Farm's multiple vehicle discount, they were the lowest of several companies I contacted. I've had several claims with them over the years for cars that were handled to my satisfaction but not the coach yet (knock on wood).

I have USAA for everything, except RV. They apparently do not do RV insurance. They must have an agreement with Progressive because they referred me there.

You might want to get a quote from Twin Peaks.

I'm in the same boat, have had Progressive now since 2000, fortunately no claims. Hope it stays that way

I am retired military and use USAA for our toad. For our motorhome, we have used Explorer RV since 2003, both in Virginia while still working and in Texas as fulltimers. Explorer RV (you can find them online) is an insurance broker that finds the best price/coverage for your particular situation. Most of the time they have had us with National Interstate. We have had several glass repair claims, and a costly lightning strike claim. We are very happy with them -- just renewed for another year with a $10 increase for a "policy service fee."

I have everything including the s&b and the MH with USAA, but then I'm not full timing for which USAA doesn't cover, YET.

we have full coverage rv insurance thru good sam club with gmac. they had the best rate i could find when i bought the moho in 06. it has not gone up since 2006. one of the things that i like about good sam is that even though we bought the moho used for much less, it is insured for the original $115k purchase price with no depreciation. no claims yet.
we also have good sam road service. no claims yet.

We too have GMAC thru Good Sam's and are happy with it although we could probably reduce the premium some by removing the full timing status since we are now back in a stick & brick house.

We have National Interstate and so far have not done a thing with them other than pay the premium for the past 6 years. Living in New Jersey we have very few to pick from. At one time most insurers left New Jersey and have been slow coming back.

We have GMAC now since we found out allstate does not cover full timing. Before that we had Allstate since they were the best price in town.
