Are ambulance huts interchangable w/ RV huts?

I'm concidering obtaining a 2009 Chevy 3500 series express G3 it was a ambulance that has the rear hut section removed.

can I buy a wrecked B class RV and swap the hut onto the 3500?

like are the 2 huts interchangeable?

also how much horsepower doe's the chevy G3 V8 desil have

You can do anything you want. It just takes time and money. Most ambulances Ive seen for sale are worn out. Tons of miles. I wouldn't mess with it. Id throw a flat bed on it and use it as a work truck.

you say its a 09 Chevy diesel. That would be a duramax

The duramax in the Express is detuned because it doesn't use the Allison transmission. The engine compartment is more cramped, so there are also heat issues and plumbing differences.

Its rated for 260 hp, 520 lbs-ft.
