I have Class B fires at the campsite. I carry a galvanized bucket that I cook with our 8 qt Dutch Oven in and when the cooking is over I put a Presto-Log on top of the hot coals and we have a small contained Camp Fire that I can move around. One log last about as long as we do at the end of a day. I have have enough room to carry 2.

We have friends that store their firewood in the step wells of their 2004 LTV Sprinter. Clean it up before they leave home to eliminate as much debris as possible, and go from there. If they run out, they buy more.
They are usually out for a couple months at a time

thanks for the ideas gentlemen

while we didn't carry all that much in our 23' trailer.....there was quite a pile in the pickup bed.....trying to get the Sweet Bride's traveling Memorial Anvil Collection pared down a bit, and we haven't even settled on a B-unit yet.

My Sprinter (ERA) furnace is propane GAS, so I don't "use fire wood in my Class B"
I do have a wood stove at home but that's another story!

Although it is still legal to move firewood in certain areas, it is almost always a bad idea to do so. And it is illegal to do so in many jurisdictions. Moving firewood can put the trees at your destination at risk for disease.

If you don't mind the idea of deforesting an area, then don't concern yourself with transporting firewood.

thanks for your concern.....since we camp only in the same contiguous area in a specified National Forest Region and make precious few campfires with a bare armful of wood throughout the entire year, our hazardous firewood use is of far less concern than logging trucks hauling tens of thousands of logs from one area to another.

More of a concern in the East and Midwest. We have the Emerald Ash Borer on its way here.
