Broken window

I have a shattered glass in the window at the back window of my 2005 R-Vision Trail Lite 251.
I hear it takes 4-6 weeks to order the entire original window,by Hehr. There aren't RV shops close to me in Brooklyn.

Is it advisable to replace just the glass?

I have been calling a bunch of glass and auto glass companies and they all seem to have difficulty sourcing the tempered glass and cutting the rounded corners.

Should I just take a temporary measure against the weather, like plexiglass, get the serial number off of the frame, and order the Hehr window? For now, I taped plastic to the outside.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Look for a glass company that fabricates shower doors. The glass has to be fabricated to fit then tempered, and they should be able to handle it.
It still will take a day or two at the least, so securing protection in is a good idea.

I made a cardboard template. Made a temp out of plexiglass. Had a new one made at a glass shop. Tempered, and tinted. Make sure you give them the proper thickness, and any pieces that will go on your new window.

I broke a Hehr window was a thermopane and local Glass Doctor replaced in a day for minimal cost and was an exit window. I think they are a national chain.
