Can this class B tow w/ a rear door?
can this class B tow w/ a rear door?
I believe this is a 2500 express.
it appears that w/ the rear door this RV can't have a tow hitch because the rear step is in the way is this true or false?
if false how much is this RVs tow capacity?
also how much doe's this RV weight and it's fuel mileage?
thanks TB

Not really being familiar with the unit but it looks like a class C to me, how about a little more information such as make and model so others can help.

I may well be way off base but I'm under the impression class C have dual rear wheels while class B would have single rear wheels.

If you don't know the make and model of the RV, nobody can answer with anything other than a guess. The RV manufacturer will document any towing capabilities. Knowing the chassis is not helpful. Good luck!

Not to beat a dead horse but doing a search for pictures of the Express show them all as single rear wheels.
Is this unit listed for sale somewhere that you could post a link to?
What makes you so sure that it is a Express model truck?

Chevy made the chassis. An RV manufacturer built the body on top of the chassis. We need the year, make and model of the RV to provide help. The Chevy chassis gives us an indication of how much load you might be able to tow. I'm surprised a B+ like this is built on a 2500 and not a 3500 dual rear wheel chassis. Does it have DRW?

This is not the make and model of the RV..
It might be the make and model of the chassis "under" the RV...but is not useful in determining potential towing capacity.
What is preventing you from finding out the exact make and model of the RV?

My Roadtrek is on a similar chassis. Mine is a 06 Chev 3500 express van, single rear wheels. 8600 pound tow capacity on the van. The RV added to it eats into this tow capacity an unknown amount. I would not hesitate to tow a 3500 lb boat with this unit.
Your rear door complicates the addition of a trailer hitch. Take her to a custom hitch welding shop and see what they suggest. They may have to make it low to clear your step or they may have to modify the step or bumper.

Can this class B tow w/ a rear door?
I had a 2005 Chinook Concourse with a rear door on the Ford E350 chassis. The Chinook Destiny model was on the Chevy 3500 chassis and also had a rear door. Both have a receiver hitch. I had a draw bar extension and towed a Chevy Tracker with no issues.
Rear door is fine in most cases but when you are towing, it is inconvenient to exit from the rear if you leave an RV mounted tow bar connected. (If towing a vehicle). I had a road master falcon all terrain tow bar (still have it) and I typically removed it while at camp if staying several nights.

It's an R-vision Trail Lite
It gets 11 miles per gallon when not towing anything
