class b tires

What make/model/year Class B do you have?

For a "heavy" B like my 2006 Roadtrek 210P I recommend an S-speed rated tire (which GM recommends) for the stiffer sidewall and less side-to-side wandering. Some other B's have had this issue with softer (but smoother riding) tires like the Michelins. Others have no problem with the more typical R speed rated tires. Definitely go with Load rated E tires unless your B is lighter than typical B's. And go with a quality name brand.

Do a google search on the topic as there have been discussions about this on some of the other CLass B forums.

I don't think it's a time to go the cheap route as most Class B's use a single tire in the back . The added cost is worth the piece of mind . Go to America's Tire web site and enter your tire size and you can view all the tires in that size etc

thanks- I bought michelin ltx/ m/s2 tires. They have a t speed rating and 108 load index 2205 lbs. After looking at a lot of options they seemed to be best.

What Class B vehicle do you have? That seems like a very low load index for a typical Class B.

Thanks for letting me know of the load concern. I have ordered the tires but not have them installed yet so could return them. I have an 89 xplorer. I think it is a 250 model.

I put a new set of Dunlop Rover H/T's in LT225/75/16 Load Range E on my 78 Xplorer (with replacement 16" rims in place of the old 16.5" ones).

They are next to cheapest I could find but a good quality tire brand and heavy duty light truck tires (vs "P" passenger tires).

Oh, and the weight limit on them is 2680lbs @ 80 PSI.
