Finished one small step in my van conversion
Just finished a mini-project in my van conversion transformation. Over the last two weeks I created and installed a 'hidden' extension shelf under my bed. All cherry hardwood and some cherry ply.
Look here to see the details.

Nice Job on the roll out. I like the heavy duty slides. Nice work of what may have been wasted space.

Rear Door Cabinetry
I've been busy this week with cabinetry inside the van's rear doors. Just finished the larger of the two.
Look here for for details and more pics.

Looks great, and good use of space. I spend January and February replacing the wooden walls with marine quality vinyl over half inch foam laid on new plywood. Long story, but let's just say there were some leaks! I've learned a LOT about finding and sealing them. She's dry now! And a lot quieter, too!

It always looks as if it needs an hour of your time, but in the end it takes a whole week!
Nicely done! Wife happy.

Finished the installation of the cabinets for both rear doors of my van conversion. The fabric still has to wait a little.
Look here for for details and more pics.

As usual, very nice woodwork.
What type of screws are you using to secure the new wood components? (phillips, square?)

Certainly Phillips, just dislike the square ones. I seem never to be able to find my square screw drivers.

My Roadtrek has nothing but the square Robinson screws, and while I initially did not like them, I have found them to work much better that any other type.
It came with three Robinson screwdrivers, and when I misplaced one last week, my local hardware store had them all so I bought another set.
I think the major advantage of an RV being assembled by screws instead of staples is that if things start to rattle a little you can always tighten the screws. A little difficult to tighten staples.
Looking forward to seeing your solar setup.................Rob
