Fumes.

Can you tell me why my older winnebago has a strong gas odor? Only from the outside. Is this safe to camp with?

gas as in propane or gas as in gasoline fumes. In either case, there is a leak problem that needs to be fixed first.

Two things, make sure your life insurance is paid current and please do no park near me.

You should go get it looked at by a professional.

By all means have it checked. If it is propane and you have an exterior hookup for your BBQ check that the valves are closed. I had the same problem until I looked in there and saw that one of the shut off valves had come partly open.

Good Luck

Welcome to irv2.
Had a gas furnace control valve release LP gas at a rally once and everyone cleared out from around me.
Shut off your LP gas valve do not ever put on light switch get it fix by LP Service man.
