Last August, I was jarred awake from my slumber by a terrible noise in the AC unit, it sounded as if it were beating itself to dead. I turned it off and went back to sleep...the next day i climbed up top and pulled the cover off to see what all the racket was all about, thankfully, it wasn't the compressor, but the condenser fan. Apparently a well know defect in the Coleman Mach 8 units.

Local RV parts house wanted $65 for one and didn't have any in stock. Off to Amazon I go... $35 and got it the day after I ordered it. Coleman 1472D5041 Fan Blade

https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-1472D.../dp/B019QGXEI8

Easy install, hardest part was climbing up on the roof.

Also added a piece of 3/8 rubber hose over one of the hard lines lines that was rattling/vibrating against the AC unit.

Found these 8x10 plastic bins at TJ maxx/Homegoods, fit in the upper cabinets perfectly.

In February, I traded in the 70C for a 2019 4x4 Revel.

Three years ago, when we got the 70C, I wanted a something like the "Revel", 4x4, solar, comfortable bed with storage, but there weren't any 4x4 sprinters in the US, and a custom built van was out of the price range.

Most class Bs have poor design for the bed. We looked a a REV (promaster chassis) that had a drop down bed, but I don't like the gas/front wheel drive promaster chassis) that had.

The 70A/70X have a couch or a fixed bed with no storage. Although I didn't want a slide, the 70C had a lot of great features. Larger fridge, nice bathroom, big kitchen.

After living mostly full time in the 70C for the last ~18 months, ultimately, the fold out couch was the deal breaker for me. The fold out couch was somewhat comfortable with an extra mattress on it, but I got tired of unfolding it every day and night.

It was fine for short trips, but day in and day out was a pain in the ass.

Tiny propane tank, so forget running the generator, for very long if you are not plugged in. (0.5 gal/hr with ~6-8 gal of usable propane)

The Alde heater worked great for hot water, but never did a great job as a heater. There is something to be said for forced air heat.

I realized, as nice as the bathroom is in the 70C, how much time do you spend in the bathroom versus in bed? The Revel has more of what I really wanted. 4x4, solar, inverter, a heater that works, and a bed you can leave made up.

Yes I gave up a larger kitchen and bathroom, but getting a good night's rest really makes a difference.

Been in the Revel for 2 months now, and loving it...new advantures to come.

We had the same problem w/our 70c. Unfortunately, it made the sliding door to the bathroom swell, which meant it wouldn't open and close correctly. Worked and worked and worked on it, but there's not much you can do.

Just recently acquired a 2014 Mercedes with a 2015 70C ERA Conversion. It came without the screen door for the sliding door. I have the heavy metal box frame but would like to get the screen door, any suggestions. I haven't even seen one that is operative.
I have read several complaints concerning the pocket door and the shower door. I am removing the shower door and installing a shower curtain. As for the pocket door, I am going to drill a hole in the upper right corner of the door and pocket and put a long bolt and nut to keep the door open while traveling and add a curtain. There is plenty of space to store the curtain while camping and using the pocket door.
