Hello from the Smoky Mtns.

Hello the forum. RV'er from long ago! We had a pop-up when the kids were wee ones. Empty nesters now...seriously considering a friends well-cared-for B T Cruiser that's for sale. 2003 model 5210 With 45,000 miles on it. Retiring in 2 yrs an 10 months!!! Any advice as to any RV magazines we should subscribe to or any intel to pass on to a new-to-be "B+"ers??Thanks and Semper-fi. Mike

I've found the magazines mostly useless. Motorhome Magazine on occasion has RV show coverage that you might find interesting. Their reviews are mostly fluff though.

Your best bet is to search Youtube for video reviews of models you may be interested in.

Those seemed to be well built Rv's should serve you well. Good luck and welcome. We have some friends that have the same year possibly. They drove it to alaska with us 2 years ago. Theirs only had the couch that folded out for a bed

Thank you all kindly, for the Intel and welcome. Looking forward to learning and perhaps even adding a tid-bit or two along the way. Semper-fi. Mike

we have a BT Cruiser (Belinda) which we love love love, the only problem is the constant making/unmaking the bed time after time. For that reason only we are looking for a small C class with a permanent bed (does this make me lazy? Well I am, I just retired today!) Not had any great experiences with magazines, we find that talking to folks at camp-grounds gives a better over-view. Also, sometimes talking to the camp-ground owners or managers can be enlightening, and not least, trying whatever lounges are available - once we found a guy playing the guitar SO beautifully - I digress. Keep up reading Irv2 - you won't find any better advice ANYWHERE. Good luck, and keep camping!

Thanks for the insight on RV-ing and the good word on the BT Cruiser. We closed on it today!!! We are excited...and looking forward to learning how to use it. Mostly... the electrical/battery systems seem to be a bit intimidating at the moment. But...this too we shall overcome!!!! Congratulations on your retirement today. 2 years an 10 months for us!!! Take care an good luck searching for a new class c. Semper-fi Mike
