I own a 2004 Lexington GTS and like it very much. The big problem I have had is cracking of the end caps which enabled leaking into the unit. Forest River has continued to repair these at no cost to me even though I'm out of warrenty. They have also solved this problem on later models.

We have a 2007 283 GTS, and it is perfect for us. We love the floorplan and the 3 slides. We have added a dome satellite dish, hydraulic jacks, and 2 flat panel TVs. We love it, no complaints.

we purchased a 2009 Forest River Lexington GTS 283 in August 2011 with 9999 orginal miles, we did a road trip up the from Huntington beach to Bodega Bay and back problems towing a Jeep Wrangler no prble. did'nt like the ride and handleing so just installed a new set of Bilstein Shocks and a dBilstein Steering Stableizer? Dampner had the front wheels balanced and front end aligned, drives like a dream now!
wE PURCHASED A 2009

Appreciate the comments regarding the Lexington 283 GTS as it is one of several B+ coaches I'm considering. I anticipate buying something 6 - 8 yrs old. Would be interested in comparisons with Phoenix Cruiser, Isata Sportsedan, and Chinooks in the 25 - 28 ft range. As I'm new to the RV world, I'm hoping this forum will help prevent me from making an expensive mistake.
Thanks for listening, Pat
