Mechanical release for electric operated awning

We have a new Promaster Trend and have enjoyed over 5000 miles of camping travel with no issues. On our most recent camping trip, I began to wonder how I could put our awning in if the battery operated system failed to work when we are about to leave a campground. I don't find anything in the operator's manual to answer that question. I want to know whether there is a way I can release the system and put the awning back in manually. Thanks. Komac

This might help, I have a Carefree of Colorado on my 2015 Pleasure-Way Lexor TS. This is the way mine is, as you face the awning, the right end cap has a rubber plug, take that out and a cap screw is exposed. Insert a hex key and turn it.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the reply, Tjjeeper. I'll look to see whether my awning has such a release point. Komac
