Hello, Is this thread still active? We just purchased a 2019 Weekender MD2. Still (very) impatiently awaiting delivery (screen door and shade need replacing). We currently reside in Napa and look forward to exploring the PNW soon.

Not active but I still love my van. Just did 2400 mile run from NC to Mt for the Summer and it was perfect.
If I can help with questions please let me know. Enjoy!

Wow! That is wonderful. You are one of the lucky ones. I know one other person who had such luck with a used one. We had so many problems - almost a problem with everything from power issues to leaks to blind (mechanical) problems. I know many others with similar problems. We ended up selling. The fit and finish is wonderful and when it works it is great, but spent more time on repairs then enjoying it. It was in perfect working order when we sold. I think we fixed everything and had upgraded a few things, so we probably should have kept it, but we were so exhausted and frustrated that we threw in the towel. We got another RV and have had almost no problems (that is shocking as well.) Glad to know that the MAD is great for you!

I sold my ERA 170C and bought a 144 Daycruiser to pull a trailer with. I'd love to hear what others are doing with they're MAD vans. Are there any groups or forums out there?

There is a FaceBook Users group called Midwest Automotive Designs (MAD) Owners Class B Group (Includes REV Vans). You can search for the name. This site does not allow links. It is a very active and supportive group. I started it a few years ago when I had a MAD.

Do you have the 6 or 4 cylinder engine? Do you haul a travel trailer or a cargo trailer? How well do you like it for hauling?
Should I get the 3500 Sprinter rather then the 2500 for towing?
Thank you.

Thoughts
For towing I would prefer a dually wheel model like the 3500. More stability and breaking. I pulled a 2800 lbs boat with mine and you hardly noticed it was there.
Did not do in hilly country so that would be another deal. V6 engine.
