Need help diagnosing awning no power

My friend and us are pulling out to go camping Monday. He has a 2015 Thor 24SR Siesta. This AM he extended awning and when bringing back in about 18" to go it quit...we checked 12V fuse (tried 3 different ones) and verified he had current...checked the breaker (not tripped but turned off and on)...we went to switch and there is no current going to it...With test light (six wires) going to switch not one of them was hot. What am I missing? He did close manually but any test or help diagnosing would be appreciated.

Just a guess, checking the switch itself, if a wire came off or not making contact. As it sounds like you both did everything else. Was anything else fliped or done while out? The Switch seems to be the week link.

You checked the wires by the red lead (postive) on each of 6 of the wires and the black led (negative) on a known good ground?

I don't know... should this happen to any 2015 model?

WOW..... personally I would love to have a powered awning, but, when I read posts like this it makes me think my crank awning is OK..at least it's one less thing to fail.

I suppose that the mechanical aspects could fail, but it's probably not that but the motor or bad wiring?

And, electric motors are pretty reliable normally.

What's going on here? Did they just put this together so cheap and it has no sustainability??

There has to be better quality control in the RV industry....

My Thor has a inline ATC fuse up behind the switch panel.

Did you pull a bit of the wiring out when you had the switch out ?
