I'm going to call tomorrow about a 2011/12 Plateau TS.

Any thoughts on that model?

Not sure whether it is a 4 cyl. Is a 4 enough power? (I think i know what people will say) I would like to hear from those who drive one since Ive never owned a diesel.

Any thoughts will help us as we consider moving from 18' Rpod to a MH.

Turned out to be a PW Excel - I think. The sales person did not seem to know what he had.

Any thoughts on the EXcel ?

We have a 2008 Excel- Ford V10- 42000 miles- never have had a problem- Great unit.
Would buy again.

What kind of millage do you get?

Any thoughts on storage? I realize with a B one is limited but are you often missing something when 'out there'?

We drive close to the speed limit and average 11.5 to 12.5.- Storage. We down sized from a 35' 5th wheel- so had to adjust, found out we didn't need half the stuff we were hauling. You have to think "what do we really need to take" has not been a problem for us.

We have had three PW, the current one being a 2006 Exel with the 5.4 ltr V8, decent power and mileage. All have been trouble free.

We solved the shortage of storage problem by purchasing a Stow-Away, which attaches to the hitch receiver and acts as a trunk. Pricy but we worth it.

Anyone want to hazard a price range - I think it is a PW Excel 2011/12 with about 20,000 km (12,400 miles) ?

If it's a 2011- In excellent condition- with 12,500 miles, I would say$70 to $75000. They are high priced.\ And in demand, due to the high Quality. I am always amazed at the number of people who ask if I would consider selling mine, even in rest areas and Truck stops when traveling. We have owned many R.V.'s, since the 1970's, and this is the only one people are always asking us about. You can check NADA.COM to get an idea on prices. Good Luck to you.

We also downsized from a 36 ft. 5th wheel to a PLEASURWAY Excel (Ford E350 chassis). PleasureWay vehicles are known for their quality build. A Class B requires a little more thoughtful packing but the benefits of these units so far outweigh any drawbacks. The PleasureWay Pursuit model 22.8 ft. on a Ford E450 chassis (if you can find a used one) is a wider/bigger model with it's own separate shower. We can move from place to place almost instantly. When we are on the move lots of times we stay overnight in places we could not stay in with any other vehicle. If we just want to go to the beach for an afternoon but have our own cooking and washroom and bed for a nap we can with no hassle, and guess what? If we decide to stay overnight at the beach we can. These are also the perfect vehicle if you like to travel as opposed to sitting in a campground and when in town they drive and park like a car. If you like to spend a lot of time sitting in a campground, toasting marshmallows at night then it probably is not the right vehicle for you

IMO you can't go wrong with a Pleasure-Way. We were considering one, until we decided we wanted more room, downsizing from a 30' 5th-wheel. Almost no cargo space, unless you add something, in the B vans.

I looked (real hard) at a PW Plateau TS. If you can afford the extra cost, it is an awesome B van. Do some comparisons, if you get the chance. The Sprinter chassis gives you more headroom (we have 6'2+ guys in our family) and the diesel MPG is much better; diesel engines also last longer and are designed for heavy hauling.

Keep looking and you'll find just the right RV for you.

Just an update - We went with a 2015 PW Lexor.

Been out a couple short trips and are loving it. Learning lots.
