I have dog beds, but I have spaces to tuck them out of the middle of the floor.

We travel with 2 labs and put a bed between the seats and right behind the seats. They alternate between both squeezing into the forward one and taking turns n each one. The one between the seats pretty much stays there and when we are stopped the one behind the seats goes in front of the passenger seat when we spin it around and comes out when we go to bed.

Two labs also...it doesn't matter if coach is 35' or 150', all they want to do is drive! We put fitted sheet on sofa with towels. Sheet fits tightly over the top and the bottom leading edge of sofa. This keeps them off the floor while things are tight...once we're stopped at CG and slides are out they have more room but use the sofa again at night for their beds. Sheet catches all the hair and shake it out in the morning. If you don't have labs....you have no idea what I mean when I say "catches all the hair".

I've had black labs for years, and they always just sleep on the bed.
