What is the best internet source for RV History? Carfax is just one of many, and is the most expensive. Are the less expensive ones worth it?

Hello and welcome! From my personal experience with history reporting, they are worthless, to say the least! The selling dealer will only report what he want to, and by law, he can. A buddy traded a JK Jeep in that had a 3 year problem with the famous Jeep water leak problem, after traded, I looked at the car fax form the selling dealer.....nothing reported other than all good things! I will never pay for a car fax or history report ever again. Personal records from previous owners is the only thing I would come close to believing.

While you might not get all the info on a CARFAX you do get all the title changes (so you can see how many owners, when and where registered, in states that require inspections it must be listed, the type of title is listed because the state enters that (salvage, flooded vehicle) and it will show recalls for the vehicle--those done and those still open. Less than $50 for a report when you are spending $50k, 100k, or more is a very good investment. Yes personal owner records are good--but they can be suspect too f the owner is being less than honest.
