Question Screen door?

Has anyone come up with a good idea for a screened door on the main entry sliding door?

We're still searching for a B van, Roadtrek probably, and want to leave the main entry/sliding door open for ventilation without inviting all the bugs in.

Thanks

ed

I would think that you could attach a screen / mesh with Velcro to meet your needs.

Ideally, yes. A sliding screen? a screen door of some type? Maybe like you see on the back door of some toy-haulers?
Looking for ideas.
Thanks

How about a bug net with magnets no need to mount snaps or Velcro.

I have found the rear door screen but a through search of their website, Google, some Roadtrek blogs, etc. has turned up nothing concerning the side door.
I have learned that Advanced RV installs them but i would need to drive from CO to OH. That's a lot of $$$ for a screen. Plus i suspect Advanced would want over $500 for the install. That's what Roadtrek wants for the rear door.

Do you have a reference to the Roadtrek side screened door?

Thank you;

We made one with magnets, but they magnets weren't strong enough. We need to redo it as summer is coming. We did see someone who made magnetic screen for the front door windows and that's a good idea to have more ventilation without bugs.

Those little super magnets are quite strong you should try them they are small and look like chrome.

We got a 25 foot roll of Magnetic Strip 1/2 inch wide for our last RV and my wife sewed it all around the edges of dog/cat rip proof vinyl screening the size of our cab windows. You could probably do the same thing for the sliding door frame if there is metal all the way around.

I would cut a slot down the middle or make it two pieces with magnetic strip on both edges so you can go in and out easily without pulling the whole thing off. Just sew in a cloth handle in the middle on the outside and inside to make it easy to pull apart to open it.

Appreciate all the ideas.
Whatever type B van I wind up with, I'll just start experimenting.

Thanks
