I don't care for the Wonder floor plan. Those chairs look uncomfortable and messing with the Murphy bed would not be much fun.

I have had a Winnebago Fuse 23a for a week now. I drove it about 250 miles from Tampa to Tallahassee. I can say that Ford did well. I am new at this and I think I felt pretty comfortable driving the Fuse after about 10 min. Feels like a large SUV and drives better than my F250. I got between 15.5 and 17 mpg if the Ford computer is to be believed and it held the road very well. I did not notice 18 wheeler passing.

In a few weeks I will have some more time in the unit, but 1 night and 250 miles of experience says it is a winner.

If you cannot mount another table leg socket for when the slide is closed, there are weighted bases that fit the table leg (no cutting/drilling the floor) designed to allow use of the table outside the RV.

Went to the show in Glendale yesterday with hopes to look at the LTV Island Queen model. They did not have one. But we actually purchased a Thor Gemini. That is subject to driving it. Which we will do next week and I will test drive towing our Rubicon. Like the layout and the 5k tow capability. Got, what I believe, is an excellent deal. Will post impressions. Having previously owned a LTV MB and a Tiffin AB should be interesting.

i dont see how you can have a towing capacity of 5000 lbs when the fuse by winnebago is the same wgt and only has 2000 lb towing better check this closely.

5,000 lbs is the hitch rating, not what a Transit can tow.

The WGO Fuse can only tow 2,000 as mentioned above. The Leisure Travel Wonder can tow 3,000 -- no slide out on the Wonder.

I would be very surprised if the Gemini can actually tow a heavy Rubicon.

There's 3,140lb between GVWR and GCWR on the Gemini...load it properly and 5,000lb on the hook is surly most possible.

Winnebago is actually putting a 5000lbs hitch on the 2017 1/2 Fuse. Should be on the dealers lots this Fall. A word of caution however. A Fuse as best as I can calculate has a safe towing capacity of about 3500lbs (ignoring tongue load). Can you get away with 5000lbs ? I would not chance it, but others might.

I think Winnebago put a 2000lbs hitch on the current Fuse so that none of their customers could get into trouble. A conservative approach. I am going to guess that someone will try and tow something that weighs 4999lbs or 5100 lbs because there should be some margin built in and then scream about it not working/breaking/failing.

Now for a straight Transit Van (350HD set up like a Fuse), the towing capacity is 7100 lbs per Ford. But that is before the motorhome stuff goes on it to change the weight. https://www.ford.com/resources/ford/...nsit_Sep28.pdf


In saying that, I am not an expert by any means and I would love to see the math worked fully out. I would actually learn something.

For either the Fuse or Gemini, what does the yellow sticker tell about the UVW or the OCCC? That should give us some insight into the towing capability of either RV. If someone could take a picture of one and post it here, that would be great!

OCCC - 1529
GVWR = 10360
Front GAWR - 4130
Rear GAWR - 7275

From Ford site - GCWR = 13500
