Winnebago ERA 70X - Solar

I'm in the process of adding solar to my 13 ERA 70x. Has anyone installed at Tri-metric TM2030RV in an ERA. I'm interested in learning how the shunt was installed.

I did install one. As I recall, it goes on the neg side, close to the batteries.

More info is at: www.bogartengineering.com/products/trimetrics/

All battery current must flow through the shunt for it to provide accurate readings.

Era Solar

I understand how the shunt is to be connected. My concern is where it is located. I have 2 batteries. My concern is putting outside where road crap could get at it. I'm in Canada so this crap could be snow & ice. I thought of mounting above the battery or on the box behind the mudflap on the drivers side. The main ground line seems to come off this connection. Any suggestions on routing wiring from the battery box to inside the ERA. - CH

Just to be safe and certain, I would call Tri-metric at (831) 338-0616. They are in California. This is the phone number listed on their web site. I have called them in the past and they were very helpful.
