my 2000 xc chassis is sitting 1 inch to high on drivers side according to a call to freighliner today

2 valves on front and one on rear. rear and right front dead on.

i have read all over about loosning 7/16 nut on arm of valve and repositionig to correct height.

well after a hour of messing with it no luck, so i finally took arm completly off and there is NO adjustment. the shaft coming out of the valve has 2 flats so arm will go on only one way. and the arm is solid, and the link from arm to lower shock mount only pivots. no adjustment.

so how do i adjust height down 1 inch, besides build a new connector link like a minature tie rod so i can adjust the lenght?

are the frame mt bolts slotted and you move the whole valve to adjust, just dont see much adjustment availabe this way??

any help is appreciated as i am trying to get her to drive a little better and hope being out of level has an affect on wander.

thanks howard

I replaced all three of my Haldex valves. I will take a picture of the adjustment tomorrow and post it.

DO NOT GET UNDER THE COACH WHEN ADJUSTING THE VALVES!

The movement up and down is rapid and suprising.

There should be a bolt going through the arm halfway from the end. If you loosen it you should be able to get a little additional movement.

I adjusted the height while the system was active by having the arm in the lowest air position and then making the adjustment that allowed air to fill the bag more until I got to the correct height. You are supposed to adjust the bags UP to the correct height.
