2003 X-line Dash AC

Anyone know what this is? Low pressure line just before the evaporator. Line is kinked, but not leaking. Definitely obstructed.

Looks like someone has bent the low pressure line. It may not be a problem, but it will likely reduce the capacity of the A/C system. There is only vapor here, but it needs to flow. I would have it replaced with a new pipe. The system must be evacuated, a new pipe soldered on and the system put in a vacuum and recharged. Generally a job for a professional as they have the required service equipment.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping it might be an orifice tube or expansion valve, and not have to dig into the dash. Trying to get all my ducks in a row before having the ac guy look at it.

From your picture, it looks like there is enough room to cut the pipe and install a new piece in the space available. Should not need to open the dash if you can find someone handy with a soldering torch and a asbestos sheet.
