I am working on the same problem. There is a way to check. If you have a voltage meter check the wires at the fan. Then have helper turn on the switch to see if the voltages change. No voltage? Follow the wires and check connectors and recheck fuse panel. Is the any air at all at the vent? I can feel cold air so I know the a/c is working. So next is for me to pull the dash apart and see if I have a bad connector or wire.
Good luck on your search.
Chet

The dash portion of the a/c system, including the fan, is installed by the coach builder, along with the dashboard itself. The chassis just comes with the compressor in place on the engine. In other words, Winnebago rather than Freightliner.

Some of the coachbuilders, including ours, used Evans systems. They, in turn, bought parts from others. For example, the vacuum pump on ours (required because it is a diesel) is from Ford.

If you have a trusted local mechanic, give him a call and ask if he works on motor homes and let him work on yours. I took mine to a Freightliner Dealer and they misdiagnosed my problem, blamed Winnebago and took it to my local garage and came home with a working dash air.
