Has Freightliner started issuing VINs coded for 2009 already? The motorhomes designated model year 2009 that I have seen (so far) are built on VIN 2008 chassis.

The FTL model year starts in April. The engine model year starts in January. Technically the 2008 MH's were built on 2007 chassis with 2007 engines. So for 2009 the engines/chasses are 2008 spec.

I don't doubt what you are saying. Somewhere I read or heard that the 2009 Phaeton was using a 14,000 # front axle. I just wanted to see if I could verify that on the freightliner spec sheet.

Is that all Phaetons or just the 42'? The 42 is on a Spartan chassis unless they have changed for 09.

I understood it to be the 40 ft, but then I wanted to see the specs.
