2017 XCR Chassis

Is there away to dump air from the air bags to lower the coach to allow more clearance when pulling into a garage? My coach is 12 foot 10 inches, my garage door is 13 foot.

There is no dump switch on the dash. Has anyone added a switch with a solenoid to be able to dump some air?

My Bounder came with a dump switch, so it must be possible.

Look to the left of the steering column, down low.
I'll assume it's a 40', pull up to the garage within 1', dump the air, then pull forward slowly about 45'. Do the same backing out, only flip the air dump after you're out of the garage to air it up. Going very slow and not putting any significant torque on the U-joints won't damage them.

If you take off down the street not aired up, the chassis will air up automatically when it reaches a certain speed or a certain distance, not sure which.

I've had the exact same question for the last two years. I have a 2007 XC-R chassis and I have been all over, well, under the dash, side switch panel, the steering column, even searched thru the manuals that came with the rig and I have found no evidence of a switch or lever that I can throw to dump air. I'd sure like to add something to do that.

No way on my Newmar Ventana. The air dumps when I hit the jacks to level. What brand coach do you have?

I know that on my 2017 I can hit the auto level twice and it will just dump the air bags and stop the jacks from coming down. I do believe that if you were to put it in gear it will automatically raise back up but I haven't tried that yet but I may be enough to get you in?

If your leveling controller has a "lower coach" option, select it, and it lowers the coach by dumping air....there is no "dump air" option.
