I have a 06 journey and have a question about the ex brake. what rpm are other people seeing on down shift's?. I was hitting 2700-2800 today and thought this was high. I thought redline was 2400?. any feedback well be appreciated.

I believe that under power, the engine redline is the listed 2400RPM. During exhaust brake operation I see RPM's exceeding that as well.

Right after I got the motorhome, I was talking to Freightliner about another matter and posed the RPM question to them as well. Their answer was it would exceed 2400 under braking but the transmission would not allow an overspeed condition. They assured me everything was working properly.
