The 4-way flashers on my 2004 Itasca Meridian (Freightliner Chassis) only work occassionally. The turn signals work fine. When I pull the switch for the 4-way flashers all I get is the turn signal indicators turning a solid green and not flashing at all. When they do work (seldom) I attempted to trace the "clicking" sound and found it hiding in my rear electrical compartment behind the left set of dual tires. The relays appear to be on an electrical panel with a plastic cover located behind a removable metal wall, to the rear of the compartment. I could not determine which relay (a square plastic covered one) was the 4-way flasher. Also, when I tried to pull one out it didn't budge. Other than "Take to to your authorized Freightliner dealer", any suggestions?

It could be the flasher unit, but make sure your brake lights are not coming on... if you have a tendency to ride the brake pedal, it could be happening... just another possibility, more than a likelyhood. overly sensitive trailer brake module could do it, too... burned out bulb, too... just my 2.5 cents worth after taxes...

My '04 Newmar Freightliner is same set-up. I believe the relays you refer to are marked R.TSig& L.TSig. I think they only control the wiring harness to your trailer lights as removing them has no affect on any M/H lights. They will pull straight out but I doubt that will help you.
Since your dash indicator lights work steady I'd suspect a flasher.
Your brake lights are probably incorp with your tail lights. Brakes are separate so no issue there.
Your flashers are supposed to be located in an electrical compartment under the dash.

Most coaches have two flashers, usually they are round in size but not always....some are square. One is for left-right turn indicators and the other one is for Emergency. They are frequently located close together. A call to Freightliner HELP....1-800-FTL-help.... will tell you where they are located. Rook

As stated you will have two flashers, one emergency and one signal, when I got my coach the emergency did not work and it was the flasher. I can't remember exactly but if memory is correct they were inside one of the wiring/relay panels on the front of coach, access from the outside. You should be able to swap the two to prove if it is the flasher or not.
